Maybe I should just rewrite this thing in Objective-C, then it will work flawlessly all the way down to 10.5 or something. The downside is that I'll have to support Growl for notifications.

edit: actually no, share extensions are kinda required, I don't remember when they appeared but that was definitely later than even 10.9, the last one with good design
